Technology has made its way into most spheres of our lives. So how can our religious and spiritual feeling be left bereft of this new world technology? If you are unable to visit, your pilgrimage place, your donations will still reach there. All you need to do is click, click, click.

HDFC Bank, the country’s second largest private sector lender has set up an online facility for religious donations. Golden Temple at Amritsar in Punjab, the most sacred place of the Sikhs has tied up with HDFC for online donations. This is specially useful for many of those devotees who are unable to come to the Gurudwara as and when they want to. For the old and disabled, where traveling becomes tiring, or for those who live abroad but wish to donate, this idea is apt.

The donations will reach he temple through the user friendly secure website feature of HDFC Bank. Payment options are also available. Pay either through direct payment form HDFC accounts or through a debit or credit card of some other bank.

HDFC Bank has tied up with their electronic religious offerings with other important religious places of the country as well. Some of the religious organizations already availing this facility through HDFC Bank are Mata Vaishnodevi Temple near Katra in Jammu & Kashmir, Shree Jagannath Temple at Puri in Orissa, Shree Sidhivinayak Temple at Mumbai in Maharashtra, Shanta Durga Temple in Goa, Shirdi Sai Baba Sansthan at Shirdi in Maharashtra, Nathdawara Mandir near Udaipur in Rajasthan, Somnath Temple near Veraval in Gujarat, Guruvayuoor Temple at Guruvayur in Kerala, Rama Krishna International Mission and  Shree Anantha Padmanabha Temple at Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala.
