Fatehpur Sikri, meaning City of Victory, was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar and was its capital for a short span of 10 years before being shifted to Delhi. This 16th century historical city, close to the city of Agra is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh and has many monuments made of marble and sandstone which are an architectural marvel in today’s world.  Fathpur Sikri is a ghost town today with only the past living in the form of its architectural wonders like Jama Masjid, Tomb of Sufi saint Salim Chisti, Birbal’s House, Pachisi Court and others.
