Maharaja Express, the luxury train with the best sightseeing itinerary and tourist amenities provided on board, runs dry in the state of Gujarat.

The Princely India Tour of the Maharaja Express which covers the route from Mumbai to Delhi, stops at various stops enroute - Vadodara (Gujarat), Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur, and Ranthambore (Rajasthan) and Agra (Uttar Pradesh), before reaching Delhi.

While the officials maintain a dry day while chugging through Gujarat, some are of the opinion, that the state government should issue permits to serve liquor as an incentive to tourists while passing through the state. After all, all luxury trains serve liquor everywhere.
