- Amarnath: The Amarnath caves is one of the most important and famous shrines in Hinduism , dedicated to the god Shiva. Access to Amarnath requires registration and approval from the Jammu & Kashmir government and is only conducted during a specified 45 day period each year during July / August. Each yeay an estimated of about 400,000+ pilgrims complete the journey during the 45 day period.
- Srinagar: Srinagar, also known as "Paradise on Earth" is the summer capital of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus. Srinagar is famous for its lakes and houseboats, traditional Kashmiri handicrafts, dry fruits etc.

Amarnath Yatra: The annual yatra to Holy Amarnath Cave, situated at 14000 ft. above sea level in Jammu and Kashmir, is organised by the State Government during the month of July and August. The pilgrims are allowed to perform darshan from Ashard Purnimashi to Shravan Purnimashi which course spreads over 40 to 45 days.

- Amarnath Temple: The Amarnath Temple is situated at an altitude of 3,888 m about 141 kms from Srinagar. According to the Hindu mythology, this is the cave where Shiva explained the secret of life and eternity to his divine consort Parvati. Prior permission is needed from the Government before making a pilgrimage due to security concerned.
